New England based designer Lisa Teague has garnered international praise for her keen sense of color and her custom wall finishes. Not afraid of bold statements, Lisa uses color to create dramatic backdrops setting the tone for the interior landscape. "Color needs to be balanced," she says. " I do know when to tone things down. I love soft, serene spaces as well as dramatic ones, and believe it or not, I am a big fan of white."

With nearly twenty years under her belt, Lisa has born witness to many design trends. "Thank goodness the days of over-done faux finishes are over. Finishes should be an enhancement. Color can be bold, but the layering should be delicate."

Artistic, sustainable design is a constant for Lisa. She typically reinvents outdated family possessions with vibrant fabric and unexpected paint choices. "Our history is important," she says. "It pains me when people discard a piece simply because it is outdated."

Lisa's studio is in southern New Hampshire. Workshops and gallery events are scheduled frequently.
